Chicago Ridge Public Library is subject to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Any individuals who require certain accommodations which would enable them to use the library are encouraged to call the library (708-423-7753) to request accommodation.
Chicago Ridge Public Library is a single-story library and fully accessible to those utilizing mobility devices. Each of our public restrooms has one accessible stall with handrails.
The library features a wide range of audiobooks and large print books for visually impaired patrons. We are also a participant in the Illinois State Library Talking Book and Braille serivce (TBBS). For more information about TBBS, click here, or contact Alicia Jackson, Adult Services Manager. We also offer magnifying devices for library users while they are inside the library.
The Chicago Ridge Public Library’s Homebound Library Service provides delivery and pick up of library items to patrons who are physically unable to come to the library. This service is available to Chicago Ridge residents unable to come to the library due to mobility, health or disability barriers. We will pick up and deliver items every other week.
